Collaboration with Famous Indonesian Artists and Custom Culture Activists

As a paint product for the nation's children, Belkote is present at a special booth showcasing its collaboration with well-known Indonesian artists and cultural custom activists, namely Muklay and Barry Williem. They each displayed their latest custom motorbike creations with painting materials fully supported by Belkote Paints.

Collaboration With Muklay and Barry Williem

Not only supporting these two artists, Belkote Paints also supported painting motorbikes which were used as lucky draw prizes at the BBQ Ride event, and provided give-away products in the form of T-shirts in the Tent of Goodtimes BBQ Ride area. Andrew Budi Kurniawan as Marketing Director of PT Bintang Chemical Indonesia, producer of Belkote Paints, stated, "This event is always our main agenda, because BBQ Ride is the right forum for exchanging ideas and of course a forum for introducing Belkote products in the refinish sector," In -Previous year, Belkote had also supported Indonesian builders and painters at the BBQ Ride event, such as Frontwheel Motorcycle builders, Barokah Djaya, OneOneSix Garage, as well as painters RSSQ, and Zadaco PaintLab.

AXT National Pride Base Coat Products

Through support for this event, Belkote wants to re-affirm the existence of its proud base coat product, namely AXT Basecoat Advance Color Solution. This product, which was introduced previously, was promoted because it has an OEM 120,000 formula, namely a collection of colors from various brands and types of cars globally, making it easier for painting creators to express their creativity. Apart from that, supporting products such as Epoxy primer and Belkote PU2K Surfacer are also routinely used by Indonesian custom creators.

The quality of the various types of products produced by Belkote Paints was proven by Muklay and Barry Willem to convey their motorbike creations. Barry applied AXT Belkote products using air-brush and hand-drawing techniques on a white surface to create the Kanagawa Wave motif. On the other hand, Muklay combines a jet black base color with candy green on the body. He applied AXT base coat as a base, Belkote 2100HS to obtain a solid level of content, and also X-tra Slow Reducer solvent. Belkote also presents special T-shirt merchandise drawn by Muklay, and is sold at the official BBQ Ride merchandise for Muklay fans and fans of the custom motorbike world.

The Work of the Nation's Pride

Muchlis Fachri's work is called MuSriX

Muchlis Fachri, or more familiarly known as Muklay, was here to show his newest creation called MuSriX. This work, which took 3 months to create, was built on the basis of a 125cc Honda MSX motorbike. Inspired by the Japanese pocket-bike modification style, Muklay added hydraulic suspension to the front and rear of the motorbike to make the legs short for the low-rider model, and added an iron plate as the motorbike's tail. With single-seat style, the additional tail at the back dramatizes the position of the double-muffler exhaust in the undertail position.

Barry Williem's work called Ameri-chan

Present at the same time, Barry Williem, a comic who is familiar with the world of motorbikes and custom culture, brought his motorbike creation called Ameri-chan. With this Japanese-style name, Barry built his motorbike with the Zokusha or Bosozoku Bike concept. Ameri-chan was created in four months on the basis of a 1200cc Buell XB12R Firebolt motorbike. Barry then added a Rocket Cowl fairing, a custom sportster tank, and the shock, swing-arm, rims and fenders were taken from a Kawasaki ZXR 400. Barry's creation was helped by the Daeng Custom Mastery workshop.

Especially for BBQ Ride 2024, Barry brought Ameri-chan back with a change of color concept compared to the previous one when it was shown at Kustomfest 2023. He used Belkote PU2K Surfacer which he believes has strong and smooth adhesion. Combined with Belkote Slow Dry Reducer, Barry also gets better paint color mixing, covers the media faster, and doesn't produce bubbles when mixed with clear coat. Finally, he then coated it with Belkote's clear coat to get a clear and smooth impression, and had a good level of hardening. Regarding Belkote's support, Barry stated, "Hopefully Belkote will continue to be present in the midst of the Indonesian automotive scene, because collaboration between color artists and manufacturers is able to provide long-term sustainability, and give rise to new talents in the field of custom painting."

Belkote Paints sees that the world of custom motorbikes in Indonesia will continue to grow rapidly in the future. According to them, the world of custom culture already has its own market and its activists continue to grow massively. Belkote hopes to continue to support the needs of enthusiasts, be they custom builders, custom artists, or custom painters, and together exist in the world custom motorbike scene. Muklay also expressed his shared hopes for the growing world of custom culture in Indonesia. Several of his car and motorbike collections have used Belkote products, and he has again involved local artists such as RSSQ and Lembinc studio to show his great trust in Belkote. "Belkote Paints must continue to support local builders and painters, not just the artists we involve here. "Because there are still many out there who have great potential to advance to the world stage," Muklay hopes for Belkote's existence in the world of custom culture.
